The Story

Grandidierite is a rare blue-green mineral that was first discovered in 1902 in southern Madagascar. It was named after French naturalist and explorer, Alfred Grandidier, who was known for his extensive research and travels throughout Madagascar.

The gem-quality specimens of grandidierite are extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors and gemstone enthusiasts. They are typically bluish-green to green in color, with a vitreous to pearly luster, and have a hardness of 7.5 on the Mohs scale.

This bracelet is made with 8mm black agate stones and a stainless steel closing.
